Sister Eileen Marie Ripsin is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio. She is a therapist at Sophia Counseling Center, a sponsored ministry of the Sylvania Franciscans. She holds Masters degrees in Education and in Clinical Counseling and is a licensed professional counselor.

Sister Eileen describes her work as a therapist as a ministry of presence: “I’m in awe of the resilience of the human spirit and am honored to be present to offer hope as a person discovers their courage, develops self-compassion and finds hope and healing even in the midst of suffering.” Sister Eileen also cherishes times of solitude and prayer and enjoys being outdoors jogging or walking in the woods and celebrating the wonder of God in all creation.
